“Fishing is my lifelong endeavor. Sharing this endeavor, a great honor.”

My journey in life always has—and always will—include a path to water.

Each step towards it, each cast in it and each strip of my fly fuels my very existence. Now after 30 years as a professional fly fisherman I have reached a place where my desire to fish and catch now equals my desire to share the experiences and knowledge of the sport. This website is just an extension of this desire and will I hope, create great memories, ignite passion, instill commitment and demand sustainability of this wonderful sport of ours we call Fly Fishing.

Since the beginning of my carrier in the late 1980’s learning the craft of saltwater fly fishing for Bonefish, permit and Tarpon I realized at that young age that this was to be my working life. It became apparent early in my carrier that Fly fishing was an endless opportunity of learning. This was the catalyst that encouraged me to look deeper and deeper into this sport of fly fishing and from there I realized that I wanted to learn it all. I therefore decided that all the possibilities out there needed to be looked at and considered as individual disciplines of the sport and I in turn needed to master those disciplines.

Therefore I began on a fly fishing journey that took me all over this wonderful planet of ours.

I wanted to consider catching billfish on fly as a dedicated focus and discipline so I picked up and I moved to Costa Rica and captained a boat on the Pacific to learn the methods required to be successful at that discipline. Mastering inshore fly fishing was a welcome by product. I then moved to Tierra del Fuego and guided for sea run brown trout to master the techniques of swinging flies for migratory trout and incorporating techniques learned on my native waters of Wales. At one stage I was moving between 5 separate disciplines and fisheries within the same Calendar year. Guiding and captaining up to 300 days a year. There is proportionally less for me to learn now as my carrier blossomed but I still to this day consider myself as only a student of the art and my mind is constantly engaged in trying to understand that which is new and to define and refine that which I already know.

It is this knowledge and passion I wish to share with all my clients as well as friends. So, if you plan on traveling to a destination to fly fish then please consider joining me on my organized trips which I hope will enable you as a fly fisherman to improve your skills and to just share this passion of mine that is always looking for ways to express itself. Whether you wish to join an existing trip or just want information and assistance on a trip booked elsewhere please do not hesitate in contacting me and If I can help in anyway, I shall.

I hope to hear from you and in the meantime be well, safe and I hope your line is always tight.
